    Echo Supplements on Quest Bars
Quest bars are among the most popular protein bars on the market and at Echo Supplements they are now our "go-to" snack when time is short or we want a guilt-free small meal. There are 2 main reasons for the huge success of Quest bars - first of all the nutritional spec is absolutely unique and blows other brand's protein bars away. The protein found in Quest bars is a combination of whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate - 2 of the best quality protein sources high in BCAAs, but just as important as this is the protein sources you don't find in Quest bars - there is no soy protein, no hydrolysed gelatine/collagen or anything like that!

As well as this high quality protein the carbohydrate content of Quest bars is amazing - while each bar contains around 25g of carbohydrates, the vast majority of this is from inert fibre which keeps you full without the blood-sugar boost that most carbs give. The process for making bars like this is actually unique to Quest Nutrition and protected by a patent, so no other companies can copy it!

The second reason for Quest's success with these Quest bars is a bit simpler than the nutritional spec... they taste AMAZING - and there are (at the time of writing) 16 flavours to choose from! Although taste is subjective for everyone we haven't met anyone that doesn't love at least a couple of the flavours a little too much. If you're looking for a "safe" flavour to go for then either "Cookies & Cream" or "Choc Chip Cookie Dough" are our top sellers and also our personal favourites, or we do offer a "variety" box if you'd just like to give a load of flavours a try instead!

Quest Nutrition have a thriving social media presence as well which is full of brilliant ideas on how to use your Quest bars to make a massive variety of different meals - for example if any of the following sounds like something you'd like then we recommend following Quest on Instagram and Twitter:

    • Quest Linzer Cookies
    • Quest Chocolate Cheesecake
    • Quest Bacon Stuffed Cinnamon Roll
    • Quest Chocolate Protein Banana Bread
    • Quest "Pop Tarts"
    • Quest Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes

There are LOTS more ideas on how to make the most of your Quest bars - even simple things such as popping them in the microwave or oven for a few minutes makes them into a guilt free "naughty tasting" meal that allows you to have some real treats and not bland dry foods. If buying a few boxes you can mix and match the flavours and still take advantage of our multibuy savings - enjoy your Quest bars!

    Quest Bars - Manufacturer's Description
If you could eat candy all day and get lean, you probably would. Most likely, you're just like us here at team Quest; to feel good and look great you have to work hard. And the last thing you want to do is throw that hard work away by eating other nutrition bars or meal replacement bars that are little more than thinly disguised candy.

After years of development, Quest has been able to produce the worldís first truly low-carb protein bar that uses only high-quality proteins and no simple carbs of any kinds, no harmful sugar alcohols, and no glycerin - only perfect nutritional ingredients.

The Quest bar was made by us, the Quest team (hi!) because we care about what we eat, and we couldn't find any nutrition bars on the market that we were actually willing to consume. We weren't willing to sacrifice taste, and sadly none of us have the kind of genetics that would let us eat candy and look like fitness models. Soooooo, we made the Quest protein bar. It wasn't easy, but it sure is tasty!

We know that once you taste this nutrition bar you'll agree that no other protein bar on the market even comes close to matching the combination of amazing flavor and perfect nutrition with absolutely no compromises

Here at Quest, we know what it's like to pursue a dream, to be reaching for a goal. Our mission is to give you the protein bar you need to achieve those goals.

It's the perfect nutrition bar for anyone looking to get top quality protein while dropping some carbs from their diet. They're as delicious and convenient as a candy bar, while maintaining all of the nutrition of a carefully prepared meal that's packed with fiber to make you feel full and to help with digestion and weight loss.

Quest Bars are the perfect nutrition bar for anyone looking to get top quality protein while dropping some carbs from their diet. They're as delicious and convenient as a candy bar, while maintaining all of the nutrition of a carefully prepared meal that's packed with fiber to make you feel full and to help with digestion and weight loss.

Quest bars have an amazing nutritional profile. We've got 20g of protein, 4g non-fiber carbs, and no sugar alcohols or other junk. And most importantly, our bars taste better than any other bar.

Q: Why do your bars have so few carbs?
A: As most people know, if you want to stay healthy, lose fat or build LEAN, fat-free muscle, you must control your carb intake. That's why we've worked so hard to create bars with so few grams of available carbohydrates (almost all of Quest Bar's carbs come from inert fiber which helps keep you full but doesn't skyrocket your insulin levels.)

Q: If low carb food is the key to my success, why do other nutrition bars have so many carbs or sugar alcohols?
A: Because until now, there was no other way to make a bar that tasted good and didn't rot on the shelf. We had to create a process so unique that we protected it by filing a patent. That's why you won't see any other bars like ours on the market - Quest is the first truly low carb bar with no simple carbs or sugar alcohols. A perfect meal in your pocket!

S’Mores – Well, what can I say, great macro’s, great texture and amazing flavour. I literally have nothing bad to say about this bar! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Banana Nut Muffin – As far a protein bars go Questbars have to be my “go to” product. However this flavour for me is one of the worst. I got a sort of banana after taste but that was about it. It wasn’t inedible, I just wouldn’t rush into getting that specific flavour again.

I have been eating Quest Bars for a while now, and nearly always buy them at Echo Supplements. If you like chunky chocolate textures, the best one are the White Chocolate Raspberry, Mint Choc Chunk or Cookies and Cream. They have a firm, chewy texture, similar to nougat. They are perfect if you are a chocolate lover and want something a little healthier, or if you're looking to increase your protein intake. I like to buy the variety box as I can choose a mixture of my favourite flavours.

I can't recommend these bars enough. Personally my favorite is Choc chip cookie dough. Not only are the benefits great that come with eating them (protein) but they're not going to hinder your diet. Great if you're feeling for something sweet!

Prices are fantastic! Wouldn't buy them from anywhere else!

i was lucky enough to win a box of these bars from echos facebook page and i'm so glad i did because they are outstanding!! its hard to choose the best flavour but for me i think its apple pie, its delicious!! i was on low carbs at the time so the bars were perfect for me to get a healthy snack that killed my cravings without pushing my nutrition off course.

can't recommend quest bars enough!! these are now a staple in my diet.

    thanks echo for the prize!!!

I'll never buy any other brand now! These are so yummy it's unbelievable. Variety pack is a great idea as it's impossible to pick a favourite. Ticks all my boxes. Well done Quest.

Easily the best tasting protein bar ive ever eaten, not overly chewy and dry like the majority of protein bars on the market. Not usually a fan of protein bars as they are usually full of sugar but quest bars only have 1g in. They also have a massive 17g of fibre which is what you need especially when dieitng as i am now. With large chunks of chocolate in they definately curb the cravings and stopped me from wanting to cheat on my diet. Only problem is its hard sticking to eating only 1 bar a day. Very addictive!
    Will 12/09/2014
A very tasty chewy bar. Nice chunks of chocolate.
Might be a touch high in fat for some but for me it's ideal.
Great taste and texture and substantial enough to tide you over after your workout.

    QUEST YOUR NEXT..........

TASTE: Oh wowzers really does taste like it says with soft cookie bits so very chewy & easy to eat. You get the creamy taste with a nice chocolate cookie taste so very nice!!!!

Now the profile is another top aspect these are made with WPI so just the best protein source here we have 21g per 60g bar & 35% per 100g. Now the carbs are 22g per 60g bar & again just over 35% carbs per 100g with ONLY 1g sugar!!!!! We have 17g dietary fibre & they use Erythritol this is like SUGAR with out the calories so its a good low calorie sweetener always good to see summat like that if you ask me!!!. We are getting 7g fat per 60g bar & 3g of that is sats but we can expect a little fats as the sugars so low.

Yes overall these bars are expensive BUT we pay for what we get & we get a good tasty protein bar £21.99 for a box of 12 or £20 a box if you go with 2 or more boxes thats £1.66 every 1 should at least try these or just chip in & share a few boxes out!!!! Top marks for every thing here 5 stars all day long!!!!
    Sam 26/08/2014
tried most of the flavours and all had good taste for protein bars... i used them for after workouts if i can't get in a meal for a while or when i need a quick snack and they have filled me up.

Heard great things about QuestBar so decided to see what the fuss was about and order the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (just sounds delicious doesn’t it?)

Well, on opening it looks a little plastic. It reminded me of my youth and those Irn-Bru bars you got, sort of like those sugar laden bars your kids always want. You could clearly see the chocolate chunks though which was quite a good surprise.

The texture is quite dense but it’s no real different from any other protein bar I’ve tried. It’s chewy and rather moist and really delicious. It actually tasted like it’s flavour for a change too! Personally I would have liked it to be a tad bit sweeter, but that’s just personal preference.

Nutritionally it’s bang on the money. Almost a third of the bar is straight up protein (21g/70g) it’s very, very high in fibre (17g) and if carbs are an issue, there are virtually none (3g). Fats are a modest 8g.

I love it. I really do like them. In fact, I’m off to eat another.

(4/5 stars as they aren’t the cheapest).
    Andy 04/08/2014
    I Love these Quest bars.
They are easily the best protein bars I have tried up to now.
21g of protein, 3g net of carbs. I had the chocolate cookie dough flavour, real chocolate chunks in a great thick, chewy bar. I just found they tasted great, really moreish and was a very enjoyable treat.

They are not the cheapest, but I think they are twice as good as the sci-mx protein bars and only cost £2 more, so worth every penny.

    mitchell 19/07/2014
I love these bars, can be pricey but Echo is one of the only sites doing multi buy deals so works out much better .
21g of protein 1 g of sugar suits me in my diet.
Chocolate Brownie it tastes like a chocolate brownie from a shop its just lovely.
Cookies and cream is exceptional it feels like your eating something bad as it tastes so good.
    Dale 18/07/2014
This is the best tasting protein bar I have ever tried!

The Cookies and Cream flavour is second to none. A fantastic low-carb, high protein (isolate), chewy and gooey protein bar. The texture of the bar is fantastic, it almost melts in your mouth. I can't really say much more about it, the reviews speak for themselves.

Sad to say it lasted about ten seconds, they are so moreish! The price does reflect the quality as they have generally always been quite expensive but you really do get great value for money and fantastic deals at Echo.
    NEIL 14/07/2014
tried one of these for the first time, chocolate brownie flavour,
must say it smelt and tasted pretty much like a regular chocolate brownie, lovely chewy consistency.
the ingredients are pretty good carbs & protein pretty much the same, only 1 gram of sugar,
would have preferred a bigger bar thats my only negative.

    Quest Bar - Chocolate Brownie

Ok I was lucky enough to finally get to sample on these famous Quest Bars

I guess the raves about them is as much about the simple quality ingredients as much as taste.

I had the Chocolate Brownie flavour. To be honest I had to double check the wrapper as to me it tasted like coffee/mocha or something like that. It was a very nice flavour and I see they do them in loads of flavours but you really can't go wrong with this one and it'd be the one I'd order although it'd be a shame not to try the others.

The bar is quite chewy. I'm guessing it's the milk protein isolate. MPI is 80% micellar casein which will make any product more chewy. Which is fine, after all, you don't want it to be gone in seconds lol.

At 60g, Quest bars are a bit on the small side compared to others. At 170cals per bar I was wary that it might not do the job I'd want from a protein bar which for me is to keep the hunger away for a while and provide a decent amount of protein. I was pleasantly surprised how long it kept the hunger away. Again I suspect the MPI. Casein forms a curd once in the stomach and will keep you fuller for longer compared to whey. Although whey is also in this product.

Here's the ingredients for those of you who haven't had them:

Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate), Isomalto-Oligosaccharides (Prebiotic Fiber), Almonds, Water, Unsweetened Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Erythritol.

Also only 1g of sugars per bar.

6g of fat (of which 1g saturates).

As protein bar ingredients' go you really can't argue with this line-up.

Price is probably the one down side most people would feel about Quest bars. However the current price at Echo works out at only £1.66p a bar. Very reasonable, for a very good protein bar!

    scott 11/07/2014
Chocolate brownie flavour, i only tried my first bar about a month ago and i am hooked on them, in my opinion they are a bit pricey but the nutritional value of these are great, 20g protein,24g of carbs with most of these being fibre and around 6g of fat. This bar tastes great and i love the chewing texture, personally i prefer the cookies and cream, but these bars are great. i give it 8/10
    Phil 30/06/2014
I bought the variety box, which is an excellent way to sample different flavours, so thank you to Echo for offering this.

Regarding profile, there isn't much debate, the bars are very good. Quality protein, no cheap fillers, and they've aimed it at the top end and hit the nail on the head.

The texture of the bars are dense, quite chewy, and depending on what flavour you get depends on what added goodies there will be, such as crunchy nuts or cookie.

Flavours - generally these were pretty good. A couple of them taste a little bit salty, but as I don't take in much salt on food anyway I guess that's why I could taste it. Favourites included banana nut muffin, vanilla almond, double chocolate and choc cookie dough.

The only thing that holds these back is the price. Premium bar = premium price, but not sure I can justify spending nearly £2 per bar to treat myself, when there are a variety of flapjacks available with decent profiles, similar cals and half the cost.

    Strawberry Cheesecake Flavour

    Taste 8/10
This bar has a strong strawberry flavour with a nice creamy aftertaste. The balance of strawberry and the cream is perfect in my opinion, this would have scored a little higher if I was a fan of strawberry cheese, also it was a little too sweet for me as it does taste sugary. I would imagine this would be a 10/10 for cheesecake lovers!

    Texture 7/10
This bar has the texture a bit like chewing gum so obviously it takes a little chewing but I do like its doughy texture. In my opinion it looks like an unbaked nutrigrain bar so it is not the most attractive look but the texture makes up for the poor appearance.

Price 3/10 – These bars are £23 for 12 equaling £1.92 per bar which in my opinion is quite high, definitely above average which is think is around the £1.50 mark when bulk bought.

    Ingredients 9/10
This bar is good amount of calories at 180kcal that is about average with 26g of carbs and only 2g of sugars, which in my opinion is very low, and a definite positive! This bar only has 4g net carbs (and all from nuts - not sugar), for me this is one of the best low carb bars on the market. This bar also has a solid 20g of protein through a blend of whey protein isolate for fast digestion and milk protein isolate (80% whey/20% casein) for a slower digested protein source which again is positive. This bar also has a high amount of fibre with 17g, which can be a good thing if you struggle getting in fibre but if you are a strawberry cheesecake lover and want to eat more than one of these bars per day the high fibre could be a slight issue. The fat content of this bar is about average with 4.5g, which I don’t think is bad, with a low amount of saturated fat at just 0.4g and 0g trans fats which you want.

    Overall 8/10
This is easily the best protein bar I have tasted to date and I can see why they are so popular. The taste was pretty much spot on and I can’t wait to try a flavour which I will enjoy more. The texture although a bit chewy, is pretty good, as I liked the dough texture. The ingredients and the nutrition profile are pretty much perfect the only thing stopping me giving it 10/10 was the high fibre content, which could restrict protein bar lovers to just one or maybe 2 a day any more could cause some issue. For me these bars are just too expensive and is the main component which lets it down, if they were to reduce the price to about the market average of £1.50 per bar then this would get 9/10 for me. They are tasty, nutritious and easy to fit into your daily macros also with the little added bonus for those lacking fibre, cannot really ask for much more. Definitely the best on the market at the minute in my opinion.

    Chris 25/06/2014
I received this as a sample in my last order in Strawberry Cheesecake flavour (cheers Echo!). It's a shame I didn't receive something chocolatey as so far the only Strawberry flavour bars I've liked have been the sci-mx pro2duo's. I have however wanted to try the Quest bars as they seem to be getting rave reviews. The bar was a little squished and opening the wrapper revealed something that did not look anything like a traditional protein bar or has an almost "maoam" texture to it. You can clearly see the fruit pieces in there and biting in to it presents an almost sugary taste. The nutritional profile is rather good, but it does taste like something fact a bit too sweet for my liking. I may give the chocolate ones a go when they are on offer, but for now I'll stick to the Reflex flapjacks.
    Catherine 25/06/2014
    Cookies & Cream flavour:

Firstly, i have only docked a star because of the cost of these bars. At £1.92 they aren't cheap and so its difficult to justify having one of these everyday, which is a shame because i thought they were fantastic!

    The good:

The taste: the cookies and cream flavour was delicious. Sweet enough so it felt like a treat but not overbearingly sweet or sickly. I was satisfied after one bar, and wasn't left feeling hungry or craving anything else to eat.

The texture: The bars aren't one uniform texture, the pieces of "cookie" give a nice light crunch in otherwise the chewy bar - this variation throughout the bar meant I didn't get the protein bar "lock jaw" which i've had with bars from some other brands which seem to actually require effort to eat!
The bar was chewy but not "tough" or especially dense. Overall it was light enough that i felt i could have had the bar an hour before a session, or in the middle of a split session, and it wouldn't have been lying heavy in my stomach.
I had one of these for breakfast after a morning workout and microwaved the second half, which i would definitely recommend if you're in the house or have access to a microwave. The bar was gooey, soft and felt like i was eating dessert but without the high calories and sugar.

The nutritional content: great source of protein on-the-go. This 60g bar packs 21g of protein in. It was hard to believe that such great tasting bar is 30% protein and has only 1g of sugar and 3g of net carbs. It felt decadent but was spot on in terms of sugars. The saturated fat content is a little high, at 3g (15% of the recommended daily value!) with 60% of the bar's calories from fat. However, the bar still checks in at only 180 calories and so in a balanced diet is entirely acceptable.
With a whopping 17g of fibre (68% of the recommended daily intake) this bar is sure to help you feel good on the inside as well as the outside…. ;)

    The bad:
the cost - a little expensive to have one every day. (Its a shame they're so tasty!)

Overall, i have definitely been sold by the cookies and cream bar. A good on-the-go protein source with far less sugar than you'd imagine, a balanced nutritional profile, and most importantly, it tastes great. I can't wait to try some of the other flavours.
    Rich 24/06/2014
I was pleasantly surprised by the Strawberry Cheesecake bar. Ok, upon unwrapping the bar it looks less than desirable & it's quite solid (unless you heat in the microwave!) & slightly chewier than other branded bars too. However I found the bar to be pretty tasty; the strawberries have a fizziness which actually compliments the texture!
I would have this flavour again, and try some of the others in the range.
    Benjamin Stokes PT 23/06/2014
Taste: 9/10. The strawberry cheesecake flavour was very very tasty. It was a sweet but not artificial tasting. I'd expect that to be due to the use of freeze dried strawberries rather than strawberry flavouring.

Texture: 7/10. I liked the texture of the bar itself, however there was something of a graininess to the product which let it down slightly.

Ingredient profile: 7/10. Fairly standard. 20g of protein from an isolate blend. The 5g of fat is fairly low for this type of product which is nice to see. There are 26g of carbs per bar, of which a minimal amount are sugars. With total calories at just 180, the bar is comparatively low compared to other similar products, which is a bonus especially for those in a dieting phase.

Overall: 7/10. As much as I did enjoy the Quest bar, I'm still unsure of whether it warrants the premium price that it comes with. At almost £2 a bar, I can't see what stands it that far above the rest. That being said, if cost isn't an issue, it was delicious!
    Richard 23/06/2014
Strawberry and cheesecake flavour tasted good - a solid 8/10 but like many protein bars, there are still too many carbs - 24g per 60g bar compared to 20g per bar. The carbs are not all sugar though which is good.
Texture is slightly chewy, no problem presented when eating the bar.
If cutting, I would avoid these bars, but if bulking or mass gaining then I would recommend.
    Drew 22/06/2014
Being used to the traditional style protein bar with oats, whey, etc etc, I was interested in trying these Quest bars out to see what all the hype was about...

The flavour is delicious (I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake), easily THE best flavoured bar I've tasted, no funny aftertaste, it genuinely tasted like a treat!!

The protein sources (20g worth) are from a fantastic blend of whey isolate and milk isolate, giving you a quick and a sustained release of aminos into the body, plus its refreshing to see actual strawberrys in there instead of just flavourings. The sweetener is Stevia which again is refreshing. It goes to show that Quest have really aimed these at the top end of the market, something I feel they have done very successfully.

The carb content is fairly low for a protein bar anyway, but when you consider that 17g of the 26g total is from fibre, then these bars are even better - espescially for those on a low-carb or even a keto-style diet...

The only thing that stopped my review being 5* was the texture - for me was a little tough, slightly too solid, very dense, but it didn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment and seeing as it tastes as good as it does I'm certain I would get used to the consistency!
    Cordyboy1 21/06/2014
My first Quest bar will it be my last? Well the strawberry cheesecake flavor will be I'm afraid. The package was difficult to open but deceivingly attracted you to the product. Once opened the product was not appealing but a light brownish log that didn't look appetizing. The texture was thick and not easily digestible got stuck in my teeth and was chalk like. The flavor was a mask sickly strawberry and dull not an enjoyable experience. It took all my strength to eat it without balking I will not have again and wouldn't recommend. Avoid at all costs
    Nick 21/06/2014
First time for me to the try the quest bar range. First bite I wasn't that impressed but then the flavour kicked in. Very tasty it got sweeter the more I ate. Nice texture to the bar and very easy to chew.
The strawberry cheesecake flavour lived up to it's name it was spot on!.
Contents wise this is a very complex bar really high in fiber and low in sugar so for the dieters out there or carb conscience this is a good choice.
At almost £1.92 a bar though they are rather expensive.
However I would purchase more as they were so nice.
    Dave 12/02/2014
Thought i'd give these a go given that they are allegedly so low in carbs. A lot more expensive than most though. The taste however, wow! The chocolate ones are lush! They look a bit like plasticine but taste really good. I also had the bonus of the cinnamon flavour... possibly the best bar I've tasted!

I knock 1 star off for the price.
