Reflex R Bars are the ultimate low carb protein bar - a bold statement but at Echo we can't see ANY other bar on the market with such a clean ingredients list and absolutely NO nasties in there.

The protein in R-Bars is milk protein so of a very high quality and the source of fibre used has minimal impact on blood sugar levels. On top of this Reflex have managed to make a bar with NO artificial sweetners which is really incredible considering there is minimal (2g) sugar in the bar as well.

There are a range of flavours in the Reflex R-Bars - if you're a chocoholic then "Double Choc Brownie" is for you it really does have that intense brownie taste. Choc Peanut Caramel is similar with a strong taste to really quench those chocolate cravings!

If like me you're more of a white choc / fruity flavour fan then Cherry Bakewell and White Choc Raspberry Ripple flavours are delicious and in ALL flavours the texture of the bar is soft all the way through without needing to warm them up first - again this is a real contrast to other bars that are a real struggle to chew down without a microwave.

    Key Benefits

    • 20g Protein Per Bar - This is the same as you'd find in a typical medium chicken breast or a standard tin of tuna fish, but it is from the highest quality protein source, whey protein. Whey is the MOST bio-available protein (your body uses it all) and contains the highest levels of the all important BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) and L-Glutamine, it's like whey was MADE for muscle building! That's not all though; Reflex only use EU sourced whey protein which means you can be assured that it is free from harmful rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone) - an artificially engineered hormone found in US milk which has been linked to a wide range of illnesses including cancer and diabetes.
    • 9-10g Fibre Per Bar (dependant on flavour) - a high fibre diet is helpful when you are looking to lose weight or maintain a low body fat as it isn't digested & broken down for energy, rather fibre passes through and helps keep the digestive tract working. Fibre also helps to relieve constipation which (without going into unnecessary detail!) can be a problem when you're following a high protein, low-ish calorie diet. Because fibre isn't broken down like other carbs it also won't be stored as fat. In addition, as you might come to expect from Reflex the QUALITY of the ingredient used is important. Reflex use soluble gluco fibre in their bars which gives them their soft texture - by contrast other brands (most notably Quest Nutrition) use soluble corn fibre which makes them very hard to the extent that many people put them in the microwave for 10 seconds to soften them up; this is NOT something you need to do with Reflex R-Bars!
    • High in Good (mono / poly unsaturated fats) - due to the use of Almonds in their bars the Reflex R-Bars are packed full of good fats (typically over 5g depending on flavour) which are incredibly important to incorporate into your diet and have been linked with a HUGE range of health benefits, though increased heart health is probably the most important. As you'd expect from Reflex, trans fats are virtually zero.
    • High in Antioxidant Tocotrienol (DeltaGold) - This seems like a small addition but the health benefits of Vitamin E and in particular DeltaGold are stacking dramatically as more research is done. The main benefits of this form of Vitamin E include lowering cholesterol, reduced risk of coronary heart disease, reduced blood pressure, reduced UVB induced skin damage & anti-ageing effects - among others! It's a nice touch and one that most brands wouldn't even THINK of including!
    • No Artificial Sweeteners - Although consensus on artificial sweeteners looks a LONG way off there is some feeling that while they are generally safe to consume they could increase appetite in some people. Reflex have opted for Stevia which has virtually no effect on blood sugar levels but sweetens the bars up nicely. At Echo we've found that some customers we chat to in store found that the FIRST time they tried an R-Bar they found it bland in comparison to other bars on the market but after going through a box they actually found that the other bars now seemed excessively sweet.
    • No Palm Oil - While it doesn't have any effect on the nutritional spec of the bars, Reflex have opted not to use palm oil due to it's catastrophic effects on the habitats of animals around the world - most notably but certainly not exclusively in Borneo & Sumatra where over 90% of the Orang Utang habitat has been destroyed in the pursuit of the palm oil industry.     Just revolting I'm so glad i only bought 2 boxes and not 5 for the cheaper price!!

    Gave them 2 stars because the macros are great (thats what attracted me to them) but the taste is just non existant!!

    I tried the cookie & cream little bland compared to other bars such a carb killa but would recommended especially when cutting the macros on the bar are decent nice and soft overall nice protein bar

    I really really want to give these bars 5/5 but the taste just isn't great. The macros and ingredients are perfect but in no way do the r-bars compare to something like a carb killa for taste they're MILES away. If you just chuck em down for the macros (as I do) then theyr'e perfect but the taste is just meh

    Great job reflex these have replaced quest bars as my daily treat bar. Great taste in all flavours (loving echo variety box) and superior form of fibre so no effect on insulin and blood sugar. Also no shitty cheap gelatin protein is a plus.

    Quest bars used to be my go-to protein bar, but then, I found these Reflex R-Bars. No nonsense ingredients, sweetened with stevia.
    My favourites are White Chocolate Raspberry Ripple and Double Chocolate Brownie. The fact that Echo Supplements offer the variety box means I can order each flavour.

    White Chocolate Raspberry Ripple – I thought this was great, obviously the macroson these bars speak for themselves, the only real thing you can just this on would be texture and taste and for me, both were bang on! I could taste the chocolate clearly and the after taste gives you a hit of raspberry. It was a tiny bit chemically tasting but not enough to put me off. Texture wise this held together and wasn’t powdery like some bars are. Great product.

    Double Chocolate Brownie – Absolutely loving the nutrient profile of this product, it pretty much ticks all the boxes, the only thing for me letting it down was the flavour. The texture is pretty good, minimal “crumbly” taste but I didn’t get much in the way of chocolate brownie, just a rather chemically tasting chocolate tbh.

    These bars are seriously good and all flavours are really good. reflex only use the best ingredients and you can see why once you have had a bar. Protein bars are food and work better compared to protein shakes and are satisfying when you are dieting and need that flavour of a good snack. Reflex sure does add some gains to the training front and if my muscles could talk they would scream that's the whey forward

    By far the best tasting protein bar I have tried and the profile is unparalleled with very little sugar and healthy fats making up the macros, alongside a decent ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. No chocolate coating or fancy covering is needed to mask poor flavour.

    Hedge your bets and buy the variety pack and pick what suits your taste best, you won’t be disappointed. The only problem is they are too moreish.

    Another class leading product from Reflex and perfect service from Echo, which is standard.

    Great texture with amazing nutritionals. They taste really good, loving the decent amount of goods fats, love the fact that there's no junk and finally protein from milk and cheap soy etc. Got to give maximum credit to Reflex!

    Has the most incredible texture; soft and almost gooey which is an improvement from a lot of protein Bars that I've tried before. Also has a great nutritional profile, with very natural ingredients.
    But have to admit I was a little disappointed with the flavour - was not keen on the strawberry at all, but the double chocolate was quite nice!
